Ian's Pun, Time Flys

in this project i used a lot of croping to follow the rule of thirds. I had to play with the saturation and others to bring out sertain objects. While taking photos i used different perspectives. The quick select tool was used the most.

surreal montage (absent 3 days)

deviled eggs...teehee

headlines...a bit of a stretch but what can you do?

For this shoot I thought a lot about the composition of the photos. I made sure the subjects were not in the center of the picture. By doing I followed the rule of thirds! When editing I layered a picture of a newspaper on the picture of my sister. Then I lowered the opacity so you could see her face through it. Also, in two of the egg pictures there is a high contrast between the white egg and the black background.

VISUAL PUNS!!!

OUR COUNTRY IS UNDER ATTACK!!!

THE DOOR IS AJAR. (SORRY, THESE AREN'T VERY GOOD.)

This project was entitled "Visual Puns," which was fun because I was able to create an interesting composition that made the viewer think. My visual puns were "our country is under attack" and "the door is ajar." For these visual puns, I used different photoshop techniques, such as the quick selection tool, which helped me to combine certain parts of different images. I also changed the opacity and refined the edges of the jars to make the edges smoother. For the "our country is under attack" ones, I had to change the exposure of the pictures because they were too dark.

Visual Puns

Fruit Flies- Get it? For this project, I kept many running themes throughout it. I used stock photos and used them multiple times, arranging them in different compositions each time. Photoshop was a pivotal tool in this project, because i had to skew the wings so they look realistic. Before I edited the fruit so they had wings, I also adjusted the brightness and contrast so they would be more asthetically pleasing.

Olivia's Puns!

For this project my puns were "pop star" and "butterfly". I adjusted the brightness and the contrast. I also used the high pass filter. I followed the rule of thirds to create a better composition.

I used rule of thirds when i put together my pictures to form and interesting focal point in the picture. I used the quick selection tool and moved different pictures together. Also, I used the eraser tool to help create my composition.
