MULTIPLICITY

FOR THIS PRIJECT I DID NOT HAVE A TRIPOD SO I USED A STEADY SURFACE. FOR ALL THE PICURES I USED AN ODD NUMBER OF SUBJECTS TO BETTER THE COMPOSITION AS A WHOLE. FOR THE DINNER TABLE PICTURE I CHANGED IT TO BLACK AND WHITE AND ADDED A VIGNETTE. I ALSO FOLLOWED THE RULE OF THIRDS BY NOT HAVING A SIBJECT DIRECTLY IN THE MIDDLE. THE PICTURES ARE ALSO PRETTY SYMMETRICAL.

MULTIPLICITY!!! :)

This is my mulitiplicity project. In order to create an interesting composition, I had myself multiple times in one picture, creating multiple places for the viewer to focus on. I used masks and the brush tool to create this look. Also, I desaturated the pictures so that they would flow together better and look more natural.

STORY!!!

There once was a girl who was obsessed with her phone. She constantly had it with her and could never be parted from it. Her eyes were glued to the screen regardless of where she was. Try as she might, her mother's efforts to stop this were fruitless. Finally, an old witch came to the girl and told here that if she did not listen to her mother, something terrible would happen. On the first day, while the girl was "reading" a book, her mother discovered her texting. The girl ignored her mother's orders to stop texting. On the second day, while the girl was doing some cleaning, she was playing pacman on her phone. Once again, she ignored her mother when she said to turn the phone off. While the girl was practicing guiter on the third day, she received a text that she just had to answer, even though her mother told her not to. On the fourth day, the girl was eating her after-school snack of Triscuits when she received a call that she deemed too important to ignore. Even though an image of the face of the old hag appeared before her eyes, she chose to answer it. By the fifth day, the mother was fed up. The girl couldn't even stay off her phone while playing a board game with her younger sister!! Finally, on the sixth day, while the girl was doing her math homework, she had reached the final straw. The mother came in and told the girl very politely that she must get off her phone, or there would be severe consequenses. The girl ignored her mother; it was the last thing she ever did. Before her eyes, the mother transformed into the evil hag, and overcome with anger, she blasted her daughter to pieces. After regaining her composure, the mother realized what she had done. Every day, she sits in that room and can see the ghost of her daughter on her phone. The mother was forever haunted, everyday, for the rest of her life.

Olivia's Multiplicity

Story for the first picture: Nathan was playing cards with himself... He had decided that he wanted to play cards. The problem was that he had no friends to play with. So he decided to play by himself. He was the dealer. He was also uncertain about his cards and did not realize that he was holding his cards out far enough for the Nathan next to him to see. The only two Nathans that were playing fairly are the ones on the left who are dealing and receiving cards.

For this shoot, we had to take four pictures to merge together for one picture. After merging the pictures, some of them were too dark so I edited the brightness/contrast. Each picture follows the rule of thirds. the pictures show a range of value.

Thai food

My visual pun was "thai food". For this project i shot from different angles and used different point of views to create a more interesting focal point. I also used the rule of thirds to create a better composition.

Multiplicity

For this project i used a tripod while i was taking my pictures. I cropped my pictures and used the eraser tool to blend the layers. I also adjusted the brightness so the picture didn't look washed out. The subject creates a mood of curiosity because they are all looking at something.
